Is America Reaping What it Has Sown?

Visions-Of-The-Nuclear-Destruction-Of-America-Given-To-Henry-Gruver-And-Dumitru-Duduman

Psalm 106:37-39 (NKJV) They even sacrificed their sons And their daughters to demons,  And shed innocent blood, The blood of their sons and daughters, Whom they sacrificed to the idols of Canaan; And the land was polluted with blood.  Thus they were defiled by their own works, And played the harlot by their own deeds.

When God brought the children of Israel into the land of promise, He strictly commanded them not to intermarry with the nations around them. He wanted them to be a separate, holy people.  The nations of the land of Canaan were wicked beyond measure. They practiced every sort of sexual perversion, and sacrificed their children to idols.

Eventually the people of God fell prey to the same ungodly practices and adopted the pagan beliefs of the ungodly. They became so corrupted that they began to sacrifice their own children to the idols of Canaan, just like the nations God had warned them about.

God raised up prophets to warn them in order that they might have opportunity to repent before God brought judgment upon them. Ezekiel 22:1-4 (NKJV) Moreover the word of the Lord came to me, saying,  “Now, son of man, will you judge, will you judge the bloody city? Yes, show her all her abominations!  Then say, ‘Thus says the Lord God: “The city sheds blood in her own midst, that her time may come; and she makes idols within herself to defile herself.  You have become guilty by the blood which you have shed, and have defiled yourself with the idols which you have made.

In like manner, the United States is a nation birthed by the grace of God. We have been blessed as no other nation because of the Pilgrims and the founders who followed. They established this nation upon the principles of God’s holy word. Yet like Israel, America has abandoned the God of our fathers, and followed after the pagan gods of the nations. America too has become so vile that we are offering our children to the pagan gods of the wicked through the practice of abortion. Make no mistake about it, the blood of the murdered innocent cries out from the ground for judgment against this land, just as Abel’s blood cried out. Genesis 4:10 (NKJV) And He said, “What have you done? The voice of your brother’s blood cries out to Me from the ground.

Whether people believe it or not, our actions have both natural and spiritual consequences. What we see manifest in the natural world is simply the result of the spiritual climate that is taking place beyond what we can see with our physical eyes. Galatians 6:7 (NKJV) Do not be deceived, God is not mocked; for whatever a man sows, that he will also reap.

God’s Judgment: God’s judgment can come in many ways. While God can certainly bring calamity upon nations, or even people who persist in defiance, one of the most common ways God judges is by removing His protection and blessings. Because we are so accustom to the blessings of God in the United States, we have taken His goodness for granted. Yet as America has allowed blasphemy against God to continue, embraced foreign gods, promoted ungodly practices, we are beginning to see the consequences that sin can bring.

Slavery & the Civil War: This is by no means the first time in our history that such judgment has come upon this nation. Because of the sin of slavery and other wickedness, the Civil War brought great devastation upon the nation. In the South, nearly every family had a member of their family that was either wounded or killed. One of the greatest spiritual awakenings took place after the Civil War, and what we commonly call ‘The Bible Belt,’ came about as a result.

The Roaring Twenies: In simmilar manner the 1920s was much like today, marked by sexual immorality, intellectualism, and spiritual apathy. What followed was the Stock Market crash of 1929, then the drought of the 1930s, and eventually Pearl Harbor, and WWII. Following WWII America once again experienced a revival of sorts, with the growth of Evangelical Christianity, the Charismatic renewal, and a surge in emphasis of world missions.

The Sixties Ant-God Revolution: June 17, 1963 God was for the first time officially forbidden access to the public schools of America. While this may seem in itself insignificant, it opened spiritual flood gates in open rebellion against God.

In Engel v. Vitale, 370 U.S. 421 (1962), the Supreme Court held it was unconstitutional for a public school to require students to recite a prayer.

The specific challenge involved the New York Reagents’ Prayer, which a group of parents protested violated their religious practices:

“Almighty God, we acknowledge our dependence upon Thee, and we beg Thy blessings upon us, our parents, our teachers and our country. Amen.”

In a 6-1 decision authored by Justice Hugo Black, the Court held that the prayer violated the Establishment Clause of the First Amendment because it promoted a religious belief regardless of the actual words being ambiguous as to which religion was being endorsed. The Court held that the Establishment Clause prohibited the government from endorsing a class of religions that recognized an Almighty God.

It’s interesting to note that President John F. Kennedy was assassinated later that same year. I find it ironic that the very year that the courts declared that public schools could no longer pray this simple prayer, that our president is killed. “Almighty God, we acknowledge our dependence upon Thee, and we beg Thy blessings upon us, our parents, our teachers and our country. Amen.”

Strikingly August 7, 1964 the U.S. Congress granted powers to the president to declare war in Vietnam, and March 8, 1965 — The first U.S. combat troops arrive in Vietnam. This is the first war in U.S. history that is not declared a victory, and we are still suffering from the physiological aftermath of this conflict.

Vietnam

The 1960s were also market by the sexual revolution, and an all out assault upon the Christian worldview. Since this time we have witnessed the decline of the United States, the decay of the traditional family, and the proliferation of every sort of perversity.

Since Roe vs. Wade: January, 22, 1973 Roe v. Wade makes abortion a US constitutional right.

Following the passage of Ro vs. Wade, the United States enters nearly two decades economic recession.

  • In 1974, The largest series of tornadoes in history, hits 13 U.S. states and one Canadian province. By the time the last of 148 tornadoes hit early the following morning, 315 died and over 5,000 were injured.
  • Richard Nixon becomes the first US president forced to resign after the Watergate Scandal
  • Gasoline shortages and price increases throughout the world help to cause problems in most of the western worlds economies
  • The Unemployment Rate in the US reaches 9.2% and recession is recognized by President Ford
  • 1978 The US Dollar plunges to record low against many European currencies U.S.
  • 1979 Due to crisis in Iran Oil Prices Increase around the world and the public begin panic buying     making things worse.
  • 1979, 63 Americans are taken hostage in the American Embassy in Tehran

This year marks the 40th anniversary of Roe vs. Wade. Since that time over 50 million babies have lost their lives at the hands of their own mothers, sacrificed to the god of the age.

I am fully convinced that because of the violent act of abortion that has been promoted and allowed to continue in this nation, that God is removing His grace from the land. While sexual immorality, blasphemy and other practices are also contributing to this, the shedding of innocent blood through abortion has opened the gates of hell against the children of this land.

Far too many people see the world only through the lens of what they can see with their natural eyes. They are what the Bible refers to as ‘carnally or naturally minded.’ (Romans 8:5-7) Yet there is a spiritual world that exists, that is every bit as real as the natural physical world. This world coexists with the natural world that we can see. The spiritual world consists of two very real kingdoms. The Kingdom of God, is a Kingdom of light and goodness, life, and blessings, whereas the kingdom of the devil, (or the kingdom of darkness), is one of death, evil, and destruction.

The tragedy of the slaughter of children in the public schools of America is not some mere coincidence. This is a clear example of the consequences of a nation that endorses the killing of its children in the womb, and through this ongoing defiance of God removes His grace from our land. Believe me; no amount of gun control will stay this demonic spirit of death that has been unleashed upon this land.

Why has this onslaught against innocent lives suddenly become so prevalent? I believe that there are some very simple reasons for this.

  • God is merciful, and compassionate. He always gives a nation plenty of time to repent, and to turn from their sins. Psalm 103:8 The Lord is merciful and gracious, Slow to anger, and abounding in mercy

The actions of a nation’s leaders, as well as its people, by either godly or ungodly actions set the spiritual climate of a nation. William Jefferson “Bill” Clinton became president of the United States in 1993, a decade after Roe vs. Wade. He was by far the most pro-abortion president in U.S. history to that date. In his very first act as president of the United States, he signs an executive order reinstating federal funding for abortion.

On April 20, 1999, the Columbine High School massacre occurred. Two senior students, Eric Harris and Dylan Klebold, murdered a total of 12 students and one teacher. They injured 21 additional students, with three other people being injured while attempting to escape the school. The pair then committed suicide. This shooting marked the first of these types of school killings. Thus the seeds of Roe vs. Wade began to come to manifestation, as the demonic attack began to be unleashed upon the children of our nation.

Most pro-abortion president ever: In 2008 Barak Obama was elected to the presidency of the United States. He is clearly the most pro-abortion president ever in the history of our nation.

In 2002, Born Alive protection passed unanimously in the U.S. Senate and by overwhelming voice vote in the House. On August 5, President George W. Bush signed the bill into law. The following is a timeline of then Senator Barak Obama’s adamant opposition to the Illinois version of this bill while serving as a state senator. http://bornalivetruth.org/timeline.php

Hell unleashed: Since the presidency of Bill Clinton and Barak Obama, two of the most outspoken pro-abortion U.S. Presidents, we have winessed an explosion of public mass murders, many involving the killing of children, through college age students. There have been 12 of these mass public shootings since Barak Obama was elected in 2008.

This is a list of the mass shootings that have occurred in the United States since Columbine.

September 2008 – a mentally ill man who was released from jail one month earlier shot eight people in Alger, Washington, leaving six of them dead and the rest two wounded.

October 2008 – Several men in a car drove up to a dormitory at the University of Central Arkansas and opened fire, killing two students and injuring a third person.

March 2009 – a 28-year-old laid-off worker opened fire while driving a car through several towns in Alabama, killing 10 people.

March 2009 – a heavily-armed gunman shot dead eight people, many of them elderly and sick people, in a private-owned nursing home in North Carolina.

April 2009 – An 18-year-old former student followed a pizza deliveryman into his old dormitory, and shot the deliveryman, a dorm monitor, and himself at Hampton University, Virginia.

April 2009 – a man shot dead 13 people at a civic center in Binghamton, New York.

July 2009 – Six people, including one student, were shot in a drive-by shooting at a community rally on the campus of Texas Southern University, Houston.

November 2009 – U.S. army psychologist Major Nidal Hasan opened fire at a military base in Fort Hood, Texas, leaving 13 dead and 42 others wounded.

February 2010 A professor opened fire 50 minutes into at a Biological Sciences Department faculty meeting at the University of Alabama, killing three colleagues and wounding three others

January 2011 – a gunman opened fire at a public gathering outside a grocery in Tuscon, Arizona, killing six people including a nine-year-old girl and wounding at least 12 others. Congresswoman Gabrielle Giffords was severely injured with a gunshot to the head.

July 2012 – Masked gunman opens fire at midnight cinema screen of new Batman film The Dark Knight Rises, killing 12 and injuring 58. Suspect James Holmes is arrested by police and awaiting trial.

August 2012 – Gunman kills six people at SIkh temple in Wisconsin before being shot dead by police. Suspect is named as white supremacists Wade Michael Page.

December 2012 – 20 year old Adam Lanza guns down 26 people at Sandy Hook Elementary School, in New Town Connecticut, 20 of the victims were school children ages 6 and 7.

Guns are Not the Problem: While the anti-gun crowd loves to draw attention to the idea that stronger gun regulation would curb this violence, there is a greater spiritual cancer at work in this nation that must be addressed before this type of violence will be brought under control.

Again, over 50 million innocent babies have lost their lives since Roe vs. Wade, far more than all the U.S. wars combined. What crime did they commit? They are the victims of the sin of those that conceived them, and for whatever reason felt justified in ending their lives. This type of bloodshed cannot has opened the door for the spirit of destruction in our nation.

Defying God, Reaping Destruction: America has had ample opportunity to turn from defiance of God, yet as a nation we continue to go on as if we are the masters of our own destiny.

911; Hurricane Katrina; Super Storm Sandy; the financial collapse; mass shootings should all serve as a wake up call to this nation that we are on the verge of destruction, yet we see a continued defiance of God and an open rebellion against His commandments and precepts by our leaders and citizenry.

Just consider the recent bombing in Boston. Two people were able to bring the city of Boston to a grinding halt. What might a group of say six, or eight people do if they were to bomb a group of cities? I don’t believe that it is a mere coincidence that this tragedy occurred in the first state to legalize gay marriage. The actions of our leaders and the people of a nation have serious consequences indeed.

Psalm 9:16-18 (NKJV) The Lord is known by the judgment He executes; The wicked is snared in the work of his own hands. The wicked shall be turned into hell, And all the nations that forget God. For the needy shall not always be forgotten; The expectation of the poor shall not perish forever.
